Alma is the island of consciousness, one of the two minor nations of Solaria, along with Eos. It is the most geographically distant and separate area of the island, and remains neutral in the war.

Unlike the continental regions, Alma does not represent a field of knowledge but the subject that observes: bare consciousness, the place of mystery concerning the nature and origin of the human being.

Unity

Alma has only one capital, Alma (B), because it represents unity: a unity to be reconstituted. Here, life is not yet distinguished into its fields, but pulses as a unifying principle. It is the seat of the question of meaning that dwells within the human being and drives them to transform, communicate, create, educate, pray, nourish themselves, move, and understand: from here all forms of human action are born, and here they return.

The Horizon

The island is surrounded by the Horizon of the Manifold, the extreme threshold beyond which every distinction dissolves. The capital is the only point of landing.

Alma and Eos

Alma and Eos form the two poles of a single orbit: consciousness finds its answer in artistic experience, and art, in turn, leads consciousness back to its own origin. Between the two islands there is no linear continuity, but a leap that must be made by crossing the other nations.

The notes of the two capitals, B and F, form a tritone: the same one which, in the chromatic totality, remains excluded from the two warring pentatonics and represents individual consciousness in the face of conflict.
