Nuru (from Swahili, “light”) is one of the two capitals of Altaluna, the region of philosophy and religion, together with Qamar. It belongs to the Southern League.
Nuru is radiant light: the divine, or philosophical truth, made visible as a creative force in reality. It is the active pole of mystical experience, the one in which the search for meaning translates into action in the world.
Symbolism
- Note: D
- Nation: Altaluna
- Twin city: Qamar, at a distance of a tritone
- Element: light, understood as radiance
- Meridian: light, toward Qamar
Altaluna is the only nation whose capitals are not separated by a perfect fifth but by a tritone: action and contemplation are not two distinct domains, but the two forms taken by the same mystical experience, reversible into one another.
The war placed Nuru in the Southern League and Qamar in the Northern Alliance, splitting the nation along its own meridian.
