Qamar (from Arabic, «moon») is one of the two capitals of Altaluna, the region of philosophy and religion, together with Nuru. It belongs to the Northern Alliance.
Qamar is reflected light: contemplation, reflection, matter that becomes a mirror of the spirit. It is the inward-gathered pole of mystical experience, the one in which the divine does not manifest as action, but as listening.

The name of the city and that of the entire region share the same image: the light that the island receives from the sun and returns as moonlight.
