Ruah (from Hebrew, “breath,” “spirit”) is the sole capital of Eos, the island of art.
The name signifies the creative spirit that crystallizes into a work. In Ruah this breath takes shape in the arts — music, painting, sculpture, poetry, theater — and an idea, an emotion, or a vision becomes objects, sounds, images, spaces. The art of Ruah is meaning made matter, a concrete gesture that becomes a message.

Ruah and Alma are the only capitals of a nation without a twin city: their relationship is not internal to a single territory, but spans the entire island. Their notes, F and B, form the tritone that remains excluded from the two pentatonic scales at war and represents individual conscience in the face of conflict.
On the meridian of information, Ruah welcomes what comes to the subject from the outside: phenomena, the structures of the world, signs, everything that asks to be interpreted and translated into knowledge.
This is also why it is the meridian of art: the work is at once a received message and a produced message, and in composing it, science, technique, nature, language, and the quest for meaning of the five continental nations converge. In Ruah’s workshops, theaters, and ateliers, that convergence becomes matter.
